Lauren and Michael’s Wedding Slideshow

Lauren and Michael’s wedding in Perth. Here are some of their wedding photos in a slideshow format.

We had a fantastic day which started at The Melbourne Hotel in Perth City followed by their wedding ceremony at Subiaco Common gardens, which was conducted by Michael’s Auntie and added a very personal touch.  Photo shoot started out in Subiaco and then followed to King street in Perth City where we featured their wedding limo. The red Model T always looks great as a wedding car backdrop, you’ll agree that the contrast of the car, buildings and wedding dress goes well – I’ve done some Photoshop treatment on those images to bring out the important aspects of the photo.

When we got to their wedding reception location – Mount Lawley Golf Club, we had some time so we utilised it with an additional shoot on the golf course.

Wedding reception was fabulous, the staff are great and food exceptional.  Wedding cake, being a cup cake tier was a blast, it’s a modern way to get pieces of cake onto tables and they look great.

Wedding Rings

I thought I’d show how one set of of wedding rings can be photographed.  To set the scene, the groom was Irish, so you’ll understand where the little green leprechaun  comes from. I thought it was quiet cute to use this little guy, and then once I used him, the mum came out with the Irish stick which had a special name for it – I’ve forgotten what it was.

Using a mirror frame is shot a fair bit, but a good thing to do is to include the groom in the shot too.

I must admit I love shallow depth of field and it’s something that all the automatic cameras can’t do, and most people with basic digital SLRs would not know how to take the shot either.  So I guess there are two components here, a) being creative in the environment that you’ve been handed and b) knowing and having the equipment to execute the photo.

Hillary’s Yacht Club Wedding

Here are some photos from a wedding we did at Hillary’s Yacht Club.

Weather was fantastic.  We shot at three locations on the day, which was great, and it gave us a good spread of photos to select from for their wedding album.

Hillary’s Yacht Club has had a full make over this year, and the location is fantastic for wedding ceremonies by the water as well as wedding receptions upstairs.  They can hold a lot of people, so even if you have a large wedding, I’m sure you can be accommodated.

Wedding Group Shot by a Photographer

Each wedding is unique and a group shot of all the guests should be a priority, lets face it, it’s the only time that an opportunity arises to shoot every guest.

Here is a photo of me firstly setting up for the shot and speaking to the crowd:

And then the group shot itself.

I love doing group shot at every wedding.

In my case I use a full frame camera Canon 1Ds III plus  a super wide angle lens 12mm, so no group is too big.  I’ve done group shots of around 260 people, so no bridal party is too big to shoot for a group shot.

This particular shot was taken at Hillary’s Yacht Club in Sorrento. The boat on the right is what our bride arrived on.
