Wedding at Burswood – Before and After Wedding Photo

Here is another example of pure bliss, luck and love.  I met Rita and Chris only by pure chance and coinsurance (luck), and once we met we hit it off (bliss) and there was no looking back, Rita and Chris are madly in Love, hence getting married.

Rita and Chris’ wedding was awesome, the whole wedding party was into the wedding day, the boys have been best mates with the groom since forever, and so have the girls. Rita looked beatiful on her wedding day and was supported by 4 stunning brides maids. I’ll discuss the wedding day in more detail in another post, but wanted to share one of their “before and after” photos.

As I’m working through their wedding photos I thought I’d share the work flow for one of the images which was taken at Burswood Casino. The limo had just drove off and I asked Rita and Chris to have a quick kiss near the pillar while the bridal party headed off to the room to star to freshen up.

Wedding photo from Burswood ” As shot (RAW) nothing has been done to this image:

The final wedding photo that will be a feature photo in their wedding album

So what does it take to get to this image?

  • Remove branding from bar balustrades
  • Remove taxi branding/numbers of back of car
  • Remove parking signage on pillar
  • Remove other bride and brides’ maids from back ground
  • Remove speed bump from road
  • Clean up road
  • Remove limo driver in back ground
  • Remove green lady in background
  • Remove rubbish on ground
  • Remove spot lights in roof
  • Remove bright number plate on 4WD
  • Remove garbage bin from back ground
  • Remove people on left side
  • Convert to B&W
  • Add noise/grain
  • Darken back ground
  • Add Vignette
  • Add photo frame

So all up around 1.5 hours of work just on one wedding photo.  When you’re looking at your wedding album design and photos, it’s worth considering how long it will take to design your wedding album and how much effort goes into photo effect and retouching.  When it comes to wedding album design we have a few levels of design, depending on that the client is after and budget.  Some of our couples like and want more simple album design and very little work done to the photos, on the other hand some of our couples like the artistic work that we do on their wedding images and wedding album designs.  The choice is naturally always yours.

Munja Gardens Wedding – Kerry and Ryan

Kerry and Ryan held their wedding ceremony at Munja Gardens which is situated in Karnup (just before Mandurah when you’re traveling from Perth.

Although we had a light shower once the wedding ceremony finished, literally, the wedding ceremony finished and it started to rain, (very lucky), the day and wedding photos were amazing. As a special ceremony, Kerry and Ryan had a butterfly release ceremony as well, where the butterflied behaved very well and we got some pretty cool photos of them.  I love it when the weather turns and creates an amazing setting. We had usage of an umbrella and I asked Kerry and Ryan to sit on the bench while it rained. They were more than happy to do it, and we put down a towel to ensure that Kerry’s wedding dress didn’t get dirty or wet.

Here is the Munja Gardens Wedding Photo while it was raining and the bridal couple sitting on the bench, naturally I’ve applied my artistic view on the scene:

The jungle/bush feel at Munja Gardens is fabulous to set some nice emotion on the day, in turn making your wedding album very special.

The bamboo is also a great feature at Munja Gardens.  Some couples have decided to engrave their names in the bamboo too.

Once the wedding ceremony concluded and the official family formals finished, we headed over to the beach for some more wedding photos.  Their wedding cars were supplied by OLD 55 Limos, you must admit the Chevy Limos look great in photos. We did a quick pit stop to take this shot.

Susan and Lance’s Wedding at Caversham House

Susan and Lance had an exceptional day at their wedding at Caversham House in the Swan Valley, weather was just perfect.

Susan and her brides maids were picked up by a champagne Stretch C300 from Lavish Limousines, and with a comfortable ride to Caversham House, the girls arrived on time and were ready to walk down the isle. Lance and the boys were waiting patiently and once Lance saw Susan, he got a bit emotional.  Their wedding ceremony was conducted perfectly by Glenda.

We stayed on the premises at Caversham House for the photo shoot, and with such an excellent location, why would you leave?

Bunker Bay Wedding – Lecia & Pat

Lecia and Pat had their wedding in perfect weather at Bunker Bay on Shelly Cove.  We literally could not have asked for a better day, it was not hot, or cold, wind was minimal, sun was perfect, we all had a ball. A bridal party of 4 girls and 4 boys made it all a fun day, all the bridal party were (and still are) great mates, so this made their wedding day loads of fun.

Lecia got ready at Bunker Bay Resort, which is always a superb place to get ready as the backdrop and surrounds are great.  The limo (golf buggy) was great as the girls and dad got a quick ride. We did a quick photo shoot in the Bunker Bay Resort Restaurant and foyer.

Pat on the other hand got ready with the boys at a house in Dunsborough and we had a photo shoot at the beach nearby.

Lecia had 3 flower girls dressed in pink, needless to say the 3 girls were beautiful and complemented the bridal party extremely well. During the ceremony, the flower girls had a rug to sit on which was a nice thing to do, as normally young flower girls get a bit edgy and don’t want to stand for half an hour.

Their wedding ceremony was conducted by a local Dunsborough wedding celebrant Jennifer Etherington very professionally and without a hitch.

We did a photo shoot on Shelly Cove (Bunker Bay) as there are some awesome rocks and limestone wall to shoot against, not to mention the scenic bay. Following this, we went to do a shoot on Bunker Bay – the beach itself, the sun was low, light was awesome, little waves with no wind.  Pat did want to throw Lecia into the water, but didn’t in the end, which was nice of him. I guess this is the first sign that we may do a “Trash the Dress” session some time soon. Who knows, we’re down there over Xmas at the same time, so it may just happen.

The wedding reception was a massive party, Lecia and Pat really know their friends and family as I think there was a moment where the dance floor was not full. What was really cool on the night is we did a signing book with photos that I took on the night. I brought down a photo printer with me and took photos of their guests and then printed them, so it was like a mobile photobooth style of a result, but the benefit was that their wedding guest would stick the photo into their guest book and write around it.

Here are some of the wedding photos from their wedding day at Bunker Bay.
